Lines Below Simple Sequence & Exercises

Our Sequence

Here we go...our simple sequence for the lines below.

Use the repeated tones to think ahead.

16ths, 8ths, Quarters, Half

Next, here is the sequence in the same order, but we switch between rhythm types. Your sub-vocal or vocal counting starts as 1-e-&-a, but can switch to 1-& at the 8th notes, and just the beat counts for the quarters; or, keep counting 16ths for the other measures. You decide, but pre-determine how you are going to count it.

The sequence in different rhythmic figures.

Rhythm Challenger

Feel the down-beat. Feel the up-beat. Know where these tones are placed, along the down-up-beat timeline.

In the 2nd measure you play the G on the and of 1. In the 4th measure, you play the E on the and of 2.

With Endings

As we with did in the spaces below session, play through the first ending, then repeat; skip the 1st ending on repeat, play the 2nd.

Good work.
